Well, the hummingbirds are leaving. Now I am only seeing three to five at a time. With highs in the 90's, you wouldn't think summer is over, but it must be. There are fewer butterflies and dragonflies now. We do have a newly hatched batch of Black-swallowtail caterpillars. They are growing and fattening up quickly.
I captured this hummingbird a few weeks ago. It's a rare shot that doesn't include a plastic feeder. That's pretty sweet from my perspective!

I had to include this sweet shot as well. I wasn't trying for reflection,
but I got it anyway!

Thanks! I've grown quite fond of wasps. They are really beautiful if you look closely. I don't think I ever looked close enough until this year.
ReplyDeleteAwesome... Love the no feeder shot.. Hummingbirds are a fav of mine.. and that reflection rocks. Love when the unexpected happens and it makes a good shot better!
ReplyDeleteFantastic hummingbird shots! I never seem to have my camera on hand when ours comes for a visit. Perhaps a feeder would be a better plan for me next year. :-)
ReplyDeletewow, those are great captures. Love the reflection..!
